Linda Hugues  Bio
_______________________________________

Linda Hugues is known for her family portraits that bring her subjects to life. She says that taking the photos herself adds to the artistry of the portrait and gives her an opportunity to get to know her subjects. “It’s more fun,” she says. “And I can better express their personality in the pose and the final portrait.”

She cites studying the works of her favorite artists such as Cecilia Beaux, Mary Cassatt, Edouard Manet, John Singer Sartgent, and Joaquin Sorolla. Linda currently teaches painting at the Carrollwood Cultural Center. She is on the board of the North Tampa Artist League, and is a member of the Florida Plein Air Association, and the Portrait Society of America.
