I am a multicultural person who was raised between Europe and the Caribbean. Ever since I was a young boy, I had the influence of my family; the Pericots are well known in the cultural and art field in Barcelona, Spain.
My enthusiasm for photography started with my adolescence with the first camera I received from my mother. This is where I discovered the magical world of photography as I know it to today.
Eight years ago I found my passion; it inspired me to travel the world for a specific photographic subject. My inspiration is colonial and medieval doors captured between Central America, South America, the Caribbean, Mexico, Europe, The Middle East and Asia. It is a real pleasure walking alone in an old village with my camera in hand capturing a small part of the culture in various places around the world.
Through the photography of doors, my work emphasizes the architectural details, historical marks and civilization. Each door has its own personality reflecting its heritage. A door is something intriguing; like a portal to another dimension. Behind each door, there is a universe of possibilities, choices and arrangements. It also demonstrates it's cultural background.
My photography captures a sense of warmth and beauty. It provides visual and emotional satisfaction for those who appreciate and evaluate the art. I want people to feel inspired through my photography and smile at the beautiful world of doors.
