Heide’s paintings have been juried into numerous exhibitions including the American and National Watercolor Societies, the 2005 Oil Painters of America National Exhibition, and 13 times into the national Arts for the Parks Top 100 ..the last 10 years being consecutive. Arts for the Parks has awarded her their 2005 Judges’ Merit award, the 2002 Mini 50 $10,000 Grand Prize, 2002 Collectors Choice award, 2001 Region I award, 2001 San Antonio Missions Purchase award, 1997 Founders Favorite award,  and 1997 Collectors Choice award. The Miniature Artists of America society is among her signature memberships, and her paintings are in the permanent collections of the National Parks Academy of the Arts, San Antonio Missions National Historical Park, and the Miniature Art Society of Florida. She has been featured in several publications, being named “artist to watch” by US ART and WILDLIFE ART magazines.  In 2004 –2006, Heide’s paintings were included in the Western Visions– Miniatures and More invitational show at the National Museum of Wildlife Art in Jackson, Wyoming. 

 Heide was born in Heidelberg, Germany and grew up in Louisiana. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in design from Stephen F. Austin State University in Texas, but now lives in Florida with her husband and son. She has focused exclusively on painting since about 1992 and works in watercolor and oil.
