Anita Long Bio

Anita Long has been interested in art since she was a child growing up in Miami, Florida. Encouraged by her family, she took every opportunity to draw and paint throughout elementary, high school and college. A student at Pikes Peak Community College in Colorado Springs, Colorado as well as Cuesta Community College in San Luis Obispo, California, Anita studied art and took several art classes. It had been many years since she had picked up a paintbrush when she took a class at the Temple Terrace Rec Center and refound her passion which was fueled when she sold her first painting. Anita’s travels out west and Florida scenes are favorite themes. She is currently a member of the North Tampa Arts League, Tampa Realistic Artists, Inc. and the Arts Council of Hillsborough County.  A graphic artist designing logos and printed materials by trade, Anita enjoys the freedom that painting allows.
